This is a diamond python. It was about 1.8m long and was found on Lower Colo road about 1klm east of the Putty bridge.
This is an eastern snake necked turtle and was found on Lower Colo road about 4klm east of the Putty bridge.
This is a red triangle slug found on the way down to the on Bob Turner’s Track. You can read about read triange slugs here. This one was about 30mm long and had a really good triangle.
This is a Blue Tongue Lizard, who has obligingly stuck out his tongue to aid with identification. This guy was seen near the Putty bridge.You can read about read blue tongue lizards here.
This is a Goanna, who was scavenging on the carcass of a dead wallaby near the Putty bridge. You can read about read goannas here. This guy is probably a Lace Monitor, a sub-species of Goanna and was approx 180cms long.
This is a Murray River Turtle, who was sunning itself on a log near the Putty bridge. You can read about read Murray River Turtles here. Despite the name these guys are common over the east coast of Australia.
